compuserve tape project
This collection of pre-Rigel musical singles was compiled for 'The TAPE Project,' an offshoot of CompuServe's MIDI/Music forum. Predating affordable CD-recordable technology, forum members exchanged cassette tapes with one another in exchange for online critiques and suggestions. ...answering the question, "whatever did we do before the Internet?"
Technically, The TAPE Project restricted participants to two tracks. "Jealousy" was included as a "bonus" track. A fourth track would've been pushy, so "I Don't Know" stayed home for fifteen years, until its freely downloadable debut on Rigel 7's second-gen website, in 2009.
If you're anything like me, you're a complete idiot. There's no explaining how or why my gray matter behaves the way it does when it "acts up," but here's a try....
It's an unfortunate reality that life's obligations too often steal us away from our talents. Do what you must to survive and what you will to help those around you, but always leave time for what is important to you. It's your life. Don't leave room for regret. Don't give up. Don't waste it.
Through the Internet, we communicate, collaborate and create relationships without regard for nationality, ethnicity, gender or personal appearance. Such an anonymous, non-judgemental environment could be attractive, even addictive to some.
Jealousy sucks. It's one thing to suffer from it. It's another thing to be a target of somebody else's jealousy - to be an unwilling participant in an unwelcome relationship. Here's a song for those who can't find it in themselves to let go.
